Are you staying or living in Recoleta and coming to class? Getting here is easy, quick and even enjoyable if you decide to walk! Recoleta is the neighborhood people are referring to when they call Buenos Aires “the Paris of South America.” Elegant and sophisticated, it has long been home to the city’s aristocracy and is renowned for its grand mansions and beautiful French-inspired architecture.

Finding your way around!

There are six avenues you’ll want to memorize if you’re going to live there:

Cordoba Avenue
Santa Fe Avenue
Las Heras Avenue
Del Libertador Avenue

And two of their most famous cross streets: Callao Avenue and Pueyrredon Avenue.

For our school, we’ll consider the heart of Recoleta to be the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Pueyrredón Avenue. From there, we’ll show you how to get to us.

• You can take Line H (yellow) and transfer to Line A (light blue). Our nearest station is Lima, just one block away.
• Or you can take Line D (green) and transfer to Line C (blue). Our nearest station is Av. de Mayo, two blocks away.
• You can purchase a SUBE card and top it up at any subway station.
• You can also pay your fare with a contactless credit or debit card, or with a device using Google Pay or Apple Pay. Both options require NFC.
• The subway ride from the heart of Recoleta to our school takes approximately 15 minutes.
• Approximate distance: 2.5–3 km (1.5–1.9 miles).

• Several bus lines connect the heart of Recoleta with our school, including 64, 39, 102, 60, 59, and 10, among others.
• The nearest bus stops are located along the six main avenues mentioned at the beginning of this page.
• All buses accept the SUBE card. While not every bus is equipped yet, many now also support NFC payments with contactless credit or debit cards, as well as digital wallets.
• To find the best bus route, check schedules, and see real-time arrival information, we recommend using Google Maps and the free app Cuándo Subo, available for both Android and iOS.

If the weather is nice and you’re in the mood for a walk, you can easily come on foot!

The walk from Recoleta takes about 45 minutes (3 km / 1.9 miles) and is a very pleasant one.

📚 Librería Grand Splendid Ateneo, a former theater turned into a bookstore.
🏛️ El Palacio de Aguas Corrientes, an architectural gem.
🪑 El Parque Vicente López y Planes, one of Buenos Aires’ most beautiful squares, filled with majestic old trees and lush green spaces.

If you’re driving, the best route is to take Del Libertador Avenue or Santa Fe Avenue toward 9 de Julio Avenue . During the day, Del Libertador is usually less congested than Santa Fe Avenue. Keep in mind that driving isn’t always the fastest option. Unless there are service disruptions, the subway is usually the quickest way to get to our school.
