𧥠Youâre starting from scratch⊠and thatâs perfectly okay!
Have you never studied Spanish before? Or maybe you know a few random wordsâthe basics to order a beer or say âthank youâ? Perhaps you hear Spanish on the street, in a TV series, or even in your family, and youâd love to understand a little more.
Then this part of our Spanish school is for you.
We love the idea of the tabula rasaâthe blank slate. Here, we start from the very beginning: no pressure, no complicated jargon, and no endless lists of grammar rules. Language learning is built step by step through real-life experiences, meaningful situations, and the support of a teaching team that knows how to guide students who are taking their very first steps in Spanish.

WHAT ARE OUR BEGINNER SPANISH CLASSES LIKE?
Youâll start speaking from your very first class. Even if itâs through gestures, drawings, simple words, or whatever works for you, youâll begin using Spanish from day one.
Everything is taught in context. No memorizing isolated vocabulary or endless grammar rules. If weâre talking about food, the vocabulary comes naturally. If weâre talking about your daily routine, thatâs where the present tense appears. Everything has a purpose and a real-life context.
We take the time you need. Thereâs always room to repeat, make mistakes, ask questions, and learn at your own pace.
We adapt our classes to your learning style. If you learn best through games and interactive activities, weâll use them. If writing helps you, weâll include it. If your goal is to focus on conversations for travel or work, weâll tailor the classes accordingly.

WHAT WILL YOU BE ABLE TO DO AFTER YOUR FIRST FEW CLASSES?
â Introduce yourself, say where you’re from, and talk about what you do.
â Ask basic questions (How much does it cost?, Where is it?, Do you have…?)
â Order food, read a menu, and go shopping with confidence.
â Talk about your interests, daily routines, and friendships.
â Understand simple phrases you hear on the street, in conversations, or on signs.
â Start connecting with people, cultures, and different ways of speaking.
WHAT IF IâM LEARNING SPANISH FORâŠ?
đž Working with Spanish speakers: Weâll give you the tools to communicate confidently in professional settings from the very first weeks.
đž Traveling: Youâll be able to navigate airports, hotels, and restaurantsâand even strike up conversations with locals!
đž Studying or preparing for an exam (such as the DELE or CELU): Weâll help you build confidence with clear, structured lessons tailored to your goals.
đž Living in Buenos Aires or another Argentine city: Learn how to read signs, understand everyday conversations, use common expressions, and enjoy life in your neighborhood.
đž Connecting with family, a partner, or friends: Many people learn Spanish to feel closer to the people they care about.
đž Learning for pleasure: Just because. Because you enjoy it. Because youâre interested in the culture. Because you already speak other languages. Or simply because you love the sound of Spanish.
âExcellent school. I took classes with Magui for three weeks and went from not being able to ask questions to having basic conversations. They assign homework after class and focus on conversation during lessons. Itâs a great way to immerse yourself in the language while you’re in the city. I highly recommend learning here.â

âDespite having virtually no experience with Spanish, I learned so much with the PorteñĂsima teaching team. They adapted to my level and my needs, and every class was a pleasure. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.â
âWhen we started, we didnât speak any Spanish at all. Now we can understand most of what we hear and ask short, practical questions. Learning by doing was incredibly effective, and it was enjoyable to discover a new language in a relaxed and fun environment. It was especially helpful for learning specific real-life situations, such as asking for directions, going to the doctor, or ordering food at a restaurantâalong with all the essential vocabulary and grammar fundamentals.â
