There are several internationally recognized exams that certify language competence for university applications, visa procedures, or professional opportunities. Among them, the most prestigious and widely recognized is the DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language), awarded by the Instituto Cervantes.
The DELE exam has a very specific structure. It’s not just about “speaking Spanish”; it’s about demonstrating a comprehensive command of the language across four core skills: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, and spoken interaction.
For this reason, even many native Spanish speakers might not pass the exam without proper preparation. Each DELE level (from A1 to C2) assesses language proficiency in a different way:

🗣️ A1 and A2: Communicate effectively in everyday situations.
💬 B1 and B2: Express yourself with greater fluency and comprehension in a wider range of contexts.
✍️ C1 and C2: Achieve an advanced, accurate command of Spanish in both written and spoken communication.
